If you've narrowed your search to two vaporisers and they're both made by Storz & Bickel, you've already done the hard part. The Mighty+ and the Venty are the two portables that most reviewers still rank at the top, and neither is a bad decision.
The difference isn't quality. It's temperament. One is a fast, adjustable, feature-rich device. The other is a proven workhorse that does the same job with fewer moving parts and a lower price. Here's how to tell which one is yours.
The short answer
Buy the Venty if you want the fastest heat-up available, want to control your own draw resistance, and take short, frequent sessions through the day.
Buy the Mighty+ if you want the simplest possible experience, longer runtime per charge, and would rather put the price difference towards glass or accessories.
Vapour quality is close enough between them that it shouldn't be your deciding factor.
Heat-up time: the headline difference
The Venty reaches temperature in about 20 seconds, against roughly 60 seconds for the Mighty+. On paper that's a 40-second gap. In practice it changes how you use the device.
Sixty seconds is long enough that you plan around it — you press the button, then go do something else. Twenty seconds is short enough that you can pick the Venty up, use it, and put it down, the way you would a pen. If you take several short sessions across a day rather than one long one, this is the feature you'll notice most, every single time.
If you tend to sit down for one twenty-minute session in the evening, the wait is irrelevant and you're paying for something you won't use.
Airflow: the feature you can't retrofit
This is the more significant difference technically, even if it gets less attention.
The Venty has an adjustable airflow dial below the mouthpiece that tunes draw resistance anywhere from 0 to 20 litres per minute — roughly double the flow of the Mighty+. Open it fully and the draw is almost frictionless. Close it down and you get a tighter, more restricted pull.
Why it matters: draw resistance changes extraction. A wide-open, fast pull moves more air across the herb and pulls denser, warmer vapour. A slow, restricted sip gives you cooler, more flavour-forward hits at the same temperature setting. On the Venty you can switch between the two mid-session. On the Mighty+ the airflow is fixed, and while it's perfectly comfortable, it feels noticeably tighter once you've used a Venty.
If you regularly pass a device around a group, the wide-open setting is genuinely useful — inexperienced users struggle far less with an easy draw.
Vapour quality
Effectively a draw. Both use hybrid conduction-plus-convection heating and both top out at 210°C, so the extraction ceiling is the same. Side by side, the Venty produces denser, warmer clouds at high settings while the Mighty+ leans slightly cooler and smoother on a slow pull.
That's a preference, not a ranking. Some people prefer the Mighty+'s slightly gentler character. Nobody who's used both would call either one thin or harsh.

Battery and charging
Here the Mighty+ pulls ahead. Battery life runs to around 90 minutes against roughly 60 on the Venty. The Mighty+ also supports passthrough charging, so you can use it plugged in — the Venty doesn't.
Both charge over USB-C, and both charge dramatically faster with the official USB-C Supercharger, which is the single accessory we'd call near-essential for either device. With supercharging the Venty reaches 80% in about 40 minutes.
If you're mainly at home, this barely registers. If you're out all day, the Mighty+'s extra half hour and passthrough charging is a real advantage.
Size, weight and handling
Both are chunky. Neither disappears into a jeans pocket.
The Mighty+ weighs 242g, the Venty 252g. The Mighty+ keeps the familiar finned body that fans of the range know; the Venty is taller, narrower and smoother-shelled, with the airflow dial on top. Most people find the Venty's shape easier to carry despite the extra 10g, and it stands upright on its own.
Either way, a protective case is worth having if it's leaving the house.
App control
The Venty connects to Storz & Bickel's web app over Bluetooth for custom temperature curves, boost mode and firmware updates. The Mighty+ doesn't.
Be honest with yourself here. Some people will genuinely build custom heat profiles. Most set a temperature they like and never touch it again. It's a nice feature, not a reason to spend more on its own.
Running costs and maintenance
Same on both, and both are designed to be maintained rather than replaced. Cooling units come apart for cleaning, screens are user-replaceable, and Storz & Bickel back both with a two-year warranty.
Two accessories make a real difference to daily use:
