Hemper Jurassic Spark Skull Bong

The Hemper Jurassic Spark Skull Bong is a dinosaur skull in borosilicate glass — the cranium forms the water chamber, the jaw sits low at the front, and the neck rises from the back of the head. It was Hemper's July 2025 theme, and it's one of the heavier, more sculptural pieces they've made: less a shape hinted at, more a piece of glass that looks like it belongs in a museum case.

As with every Hemper monthly theme, July 2025 was a single limited batch. There's no second run, so the number of these in circulation is fixed at whatever was made that month.

How it performs

The skull sits on a broad base and carries most of its weight low, so despite the amount of glass in it, it's steady. It takes a standard bowl and downstem, and the chamber is roomier than the outside suggests because the whole cranium is hollow. The draw is a little longer than a beaker of similar height, which some people prefer.

The XL is the version most buyers of this design go for. It's a big piece — heavy in the hand, wide across the jaw — and the extra chamber volume is genuinely useful rather than just visual. The regular is more manageable day to day; the XL is the statement.

Looking after it

It's thick borosilicate with a lot of mass; the risk is dropping it, not knocking it. Handle it with two hands when wet.
