Hemper Cauldron XL Bong

The Hemper Cauldron XL Bong is a witch's cauldron in borosilicate glass at XL scale — wide-bellied, footed, with the neck rising from the rim. It was Hemper's October 2023 Halloween theme, and it's one of the most stable XL shapes they've made, because a cauldron is essentially a big round chamber on three feet.

Halloween themes sell fast and this was a single limited batch in October 2023. Stock is what remains of that run.

How it performs

The wide belly holds a lot of water and the footed base keeps the whole thing planted — you'd have to try quite hard to tip it. Standard bowl and downstem. The large chamber and the volume of water it takes give a cool, smooth draw, which is the practical reason people go for the XL over a regular.

Hemper's XL pieces are a significant step up from the regular releases — taller, wider in the chamber and noticeably heavier. This is a centrepiece rather than a bedside piece.

Looking after it
